With an undulating site that offered spectacular views of a lake on one side and a historical Tungi fort on the higher end, the competition for designing a resort for the Club Mahindra group clearly marked a list of requirements. A packed program and a simple brief: to respond to the natural beauty of the site.
Our approach was to line up the non residential spaces on a linear axis so that through a series of terraces, pools, amphitheatre, open air restaurant and gardens the guests are always connected to the lake. The cottages on the other hand, were arranged in clusters at various natural levels with terraces developed as roof gardens so as to eliminate the line dividing nature and architecture.
