It was the development project for 35th National Games when the organizing committee i.e. Kerala Government undertook the following Sports Infrastructure for Hosting the National Games at Kerala in 2010 across 7 Cities. Apart from planning several Greenfield Stadiums, the existing facilities & stadiums are also being upgraded & modernized to be used for the National Games. Road Infrastructure Development for improvement of Connectivity between various Stadiums has also been studied & planned.

A 25 Acre Games Village within 25 Km of Main Stadium Complex at Thiruvanantpuram with fully furnished 3 star accommodations as per the National Games standard is also being worked upon. Compete feasibility, suitability and masterplan for multiple sports complexes & venues with additional  facilities like multipurpose parking , hostel, accommodation , guest houses etc. Apart from the above mentioned objectives, Government of Kerala intends the up gradation of sports infrastructure throughout the state, even in venues not hosting any events for the National Games.
